Exped is well known for its backpacking tents, but they also have a great line of sleeping pads. Some sleeping mats are lighter than others while some are thicker. However, they are all very comfortable and offer good insulation.
AMOK SLEEVING PADDLE
Amok is a lightweight, compact sleeping pad. It only weighs 17.4 oz. It has a medium-sized rectangle shape, measuring 10.5 by 5.1 inches in compressed form and 72 by 20.5 by 3 inches when fully inflated. It is lined with synthetic insulation.
ENSOLITE SLEEPING PADDLE
Ensolite from Exped is another great ultralight pad that provides excellent insulation and comfort. The pad’s Texpedloft synthesized insulation is made up of 60 g/m2 welded foam. It doesn't move around. The mat is incredibly quiet and comfortable.
ULIGHT SLEEVING MATS
Exped Synmat UL, another ultralight pad with incredible comfort and warmth is only a few grams heavier than the competition. Synmat is made with synthetic insulation designed to mimic down's thermal properties, but it's lighter and doesn't lose loft as quickly. It's incredibly quiet too and has a nice soft face material that makes it a great choice for those who want to save weight.
STATICV LUXE SEATS PAD
Klymit's Static V Luxe, a camping classic that has been around for over ten years, is still one of the most popular Klymit products. The Static Luxe features deep chambers to either side of the mat and a system in a V shape running through the middle. It feels more like a mattress than a mat for those who sleep sideways.
ETHER LIGHT XT EXTREME INSULATED AIR SLEEPING MATS
The Ether Light XT Extreme is an insulated air sleeping mat that offers excellent insulation in cold weather. Thermolite lofts in the pad and gives it a R value of 6.2. Women's versions also have Thermolite added for a R value of 6.3.
This airmat is ideal for cold camping or winter. It's much warmer than the majority of air mats available. It is thicker and heavier than many of its competitors. However, it's easy to inflate using the Schnozzel pump bags that are included. The Schnozzel pump bag allows you to easily inflate the sleeping bag by using your arms and hands, instead of your lung power.
Alps Master Z Foam Sleeping Mats
The Alps Master Z is a large and comfortable foam mat that's a great choice for car camping or basecamp where weight and pack size aren't the primary concerns. The mat is 3 inches thick with a reflective platin coating. It helps to reflect body heat and reduce convective heat losses. It's covered in a 30/40d polyester fabric for a soft, durable feel. With the Schnozzel air pump bag included, it's very easy to blow up and can fit in any backpack.
