Washington State: Free camping

The vast majority of camping areas in Western Australia are free. Campgrounds have water hookups. Showers are available. Many activities can be offered, including swimming, fishing and hiking. It doesn't matter if your goal is to be a seasoned camper, or simply to relax, there are many campgrounds that can accommodate you.

Betty's Beach is one of the most popular free camping spots in South West WA. It is located at 50 km east Albany and boasts spectacular views. It is also great for surfing. It's an ideal spot for families to gather and have fun together. It's less suitable for large rigs and camper-trailers, however. It is recommended for smaller caravans and tents. It is not a well-developed campground, but you can still find some basic amenities.

Parry Beach is another great spot for free camping. It offers a large beach with tall green myrtle bushes, as well as beach boat launching, and it is a nice spot for swimming. This is also a place where you can watch the local stingrays and other marine life. It's an excellent stopover point between Broome & Port Headland.

Marble Bar Waterhole, a historic waterhole, is about half an hour away from Marble Bar. It is located in the shadows of the cliffs and is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The site is completely free and the water is clean.

The Bibbulmun Path is a popular walk that follows a five-kilometer stretch along the beach. These trails are easy, but can be difficult for the faint-hearted. It is a good place to explore the natural landscapes of Southwest Australia. This area is full of wildlife and stunning landscapes. It is located about 25 minutes south of Margaret River.

The Charles and Mary Eder Unit can be found near Oroville. It is a significant wintering ground for whitetail deer. The campground is free to use and there is a reader board at its entrance. There are toilets and picnic tables at the campground, as well as access to a swimming hole. Access to the road can be accessed all year.

Betty's Beach Free Campground allows you to pitch tents. Although it has very few amenities, the views are spectacular. You might consider a more spacious camper park if you're traveling with a larger vehicle.

Fishing lovers will find the Gorge Lake Campground a great place. It is conveniently located near Ross Lake or Diablo Lake. It includes a boat launch as well as tent pads and fire rings. It can be found in North Cascades. It's a quiet, rustic, but free camp.

There are many more free campsites throughout the Pacific Northwest. For details on these campsites, and others throughout the region, see the Western Australia Camping Guide. This guide provides maps, directions, and descriptions for 120 sites. It also has information on rest stops, pet friendly sites, as well as campsites that charge minimal fees.
