Ichetucknee FamilyCampground

yellowstone rv camping

You can stay in an RV, rent a cabin, or paddle the Ichetucknee River when you visit the Ichetucknee Family Campground. The campground is located in Fort White, Florida, and it offers all kinds of amenities.

Camping is possible in either a tent area or a primitive campsite. You can also use the sewage treatment station when you are camping in an RV. You can also rent rafts to paddle the Ichetucknee River. You can also rent a group campsite. You will have a peaceful, large campsite for your group. You can also take advantage of the picnic tables, basketball hoop, and volleyball net.

The campground is within walking distance of the Ichetucknee State Park. Here you can go tubing, boating, and more. Clear, transparent water flows along the river's length of six miles. It flows from freshwater springs and is a great source of water for swimming. Outdoor grills are available for those who don't feel comfortable going on the river. You can also rent a kayak or canoe.

The campground is accessible all year. You can also enjoy fireworks on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. The entrance has a small shop. The store stocks everything, including cigarettes and scuba equipment. You can rent tubes at the general store.

Although the campground is a great place to camp, there are some things you should remember. First, you must make sure that you know the rules. If you plan on staying in an RV, be prepared to maneuver through a very narrow path. The road is made from fine sand. Wet feet can cause you to step on loose sand that could get into your RV. If you have dogs, you must be sure they are in a designated area and they aren't allowed to bark.

Another complaint is the inadequacy of the bathrooms. Bathrooms are located right next to the main office, and they aren’t very convenient. You may not be able to use the restrooms as often as you would like if there are many people. You will also need to look for alternative accommodations if you are looking for Wifi at the campground.

Smoakhouse, which has been serving Ichetucknee's area since 1994, is also worth a visit. The ranch and campground are situated on 50 acres. Enjoy hiking, fishing and even hot breakfast for just $99. The ranch also has farm animals. You can also rent fully-equipped cabins.

If you are visiting for the weekend you can reserve one or more of the 750 spots that lie along the northern side of the river. You can use the shuttle service if needed.
