The vast majority of camping areas in Western Australia are free. There are campgrounds that have water hookups, showers, and restrooms, and they offer various activities like fishing, swimming, and hiking. It doesn't matter if your goal is to be a seasoned camper, or simply to relax, there are many campgrounds that can accommodate you.
Betty's Beach, one of the most sought-after free camping spots in South West WA. It is located just 50 km east of Albany and offers spectacular views. It's great for surfing. It is a great spot to take the family and enjoy some time together. It's less suitable for large rigs and camper-trailers, however. It is ideal for small caravans or tents. Although it isn't a very well-developed campground you will still find basic amenities.
Parry Beach is another excellent spot for free camping. You will find a large sandy beach with tall, green myrtle bushes. There is also a boat launch and a great spot to swim. This is also a place where you can watch the local stingrays and other marine life. It's a great place to stop between Broome and Port Headland.
Marble Bar Waterhole, a historic waterhole, is about half an hour away from Marble Bar. It is located in the shadows of the cliffs and is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. It is accessible from anywhere in the world.
The Bibbulmun Trail is a popular hiking trail that runs along a 5-kilometer stretch of beach. The trails are not difficult, but they can be challenging for faint-hearted people. It is a good place to explore the natural landscapes of Southwest Australia. This area is rich in wildlife and picturesque landscapes. It is located about 25 minutes south of Margaret River.
The Charles and Mary Eder Unit is an area of wildlife near Oroville. It is a popular wintering area for white-tailed elk. It is available for free and has a reading board at the entry. There are restrooms, picnic tables, and access the swimming hole. The road to the campground is paved all year.
Betty's Beach Free Camping is a small camping site that is suitable for tents. The views are stunning, even though there are very few amenities. You might consider a more spacious camper park if you're traveling with a larger vehicle.
Fishing enthusiasts will love the Gorge Lake Campground. It is situated close to Ross Lake as well as Diablo Lake. It also has a boat ramp, tent pads, fire rings, and a boat-launch. It is also located in the North Cascades and is open year-round. It is quiet, rustic, free camping.
